Neelum valley is one of the gorgeous places of Azad Kashmir and it’s named after the river which has curves like a snake and has a blue color. it's also called because the “PARASIDE OF KASHMIR”. there's a contradiction that this valley was named after a jewel called Neelum. Neelum Valley is found within the Kashmir Region and to the North & the North East of Muzaffarabad and running parallel to the Kaghan Valley. it's different from it by the snowstorm-covered mountain which are 4000 meters above the ocean level. It contains about 370 large and little villages. It mostly contains hills and mountains with great valleys. The valley has thick forests, streams, and rivers. This valley is dipped in most amazing beauty and attracts many tourists from within the country and other foreign countries also. The valley is often approached from two different points. One from Kaghan Valley and therefore the other is Noori Top. Besides these two it's many minor passes also.

Kutton and Jagran

A mega hydroelectric project is installed here that produces electricity for the state. an extended gorgeous series of Himalayas mountains starts from here to Kaghan, Skardu, and Chillas.

 

Authmuqam

This valley town is extremely unique in its beauty with reference to the opposite places we had yet visited, it's also significant because it marks the start of the control line with Indian Held Kashmir in Neelum. it's named Authmuqam because it's the 8th station from Muzaffarabad to the upper valley. most of the people are government employees, rest are in several fields.
