Police arrests three in SP Farhat Abbas murder case

LAHORE: Police has made progress in investigation of the murder of former SP Farhat Abbas Shah, citing department sources, ARY News reported on Sunday.

Police has arrested three suspects in the murder including two women, sources said. His brother’s widow has been involved in the murder, police sources claimed.

Slain police officer was restraining his late brother’s wife from keeping personal security guards, police sources said.

Funeral prayers of Farhat Abbas were offered in Patoki, attended by hundreds of people including police department officers and local notables. He was laid to rest at a graveyard in his native area Baharwal Kalan.

Retired police officer was killed in a firing incident at Millat Park in Lahore on Saturday.

Motorbike riding gunmen targeted former police officer near his home, police said.
